How are City Bathing experiences unique?
We are a local, boutique company based in New York City. Unlike other walking experiences, ours is focused on the sensory and internal shift. Your guide is trained in trauma-informed and Somatic Studies, and offers an empathetic and non-judgmental outlook. The focus is on your connection to the city, not the guide. Your walk through the city focuses on you, and the present history enhances the experience.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel for any reason, please give us the courtesy of doing so within 24 hours of your Immersion Practice. Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
Do you walk in the rain or snow?
This experience runs rain or shine, except for inclement weather. Bring an umbrella! After all, New York doesn’t stop when it rains, and it may even be more magical. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund. Please check the weather prior to 24 hours before the experience so you can cancel if needed to receive a refund.
However, in the case of severe weather (blizzard, flooding, extreme heat wave), the experience may be canceled. In this case, participants will be notified and refunds will be issued.
Can I bring my kids?
Currently, the public experience is best suited for adults (13+). If you would like to bring your children, please inquire about arranging a private experience customized for your needs.
Can I bring my pet?
Our public experiences are restricted to humans only, due to park rules and for the comfort of all participants. Please inquire about arranging a private experience customized to your needs.
How large are public experiences?
The Central Park experience is open to 12 participants. The Neighborhood walks are limited to 12 participants. For larger groups, please inquire about arranging a private experience customized to your needs.
How long are the experiences?
The Central Park experience is approximately two hours. The neighborhood guided walks are approximately two hours long.
Will we be walking all the time? How far are the walks?
We usually list the approximate distance walked in each experience listing. Most walks are about 1.5 mile (or the total distance of about 20 blocks). There will be a combination of standing and walking. There may be times where we find benches or can sit on rocks or grass. Please contact us for more details about specific experiences and any needed accommodations. The experiences are intended for all.
