Jaime Crowe

Founder of City Bathing

I started City Bathing because I believe that everyone deserves to experience the inspiration, energy, and healing power of the city. I offer an immersive experience in Central Park and guided sensory walks in the New York City neighborhoods, as well as online resources and individual coaching. I’m passionate about helping people improve their mental health and discover who they are in the city.

I struggled with mental health issues for many years. I tried medication, therapy, and other treatments, but nothing seemed to help. I was at my wit’s end when I discovered DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) and mindfulness. DBT is a type of therapy that teaches you how to regulate your emotions and manage your thoughts. Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment without judgment.

I began incorporating DBT and mindfulness on my walks in the city. I found that the shift internally helped me to reduce my anxiety and focus on the present moment. The more I walked, the better I felt. The city began to show a side of healing and nurturing.

I started City Bathing to share the benefits I’ve experienced with others. I am still on a journey, but I make a choice every moment to practice City Bathing. I take a breath, start with a walk, and allow the city to bathe me with support. She meets me where I am at. May this practice, with the support of this city, be a support in your journey to yourself.

If you’re looking for a way to reconnect to your city or to orient yourself after a long journey, join me in the practice of City Bathing. It’s a simple, effective, and enjoyable way to boost your mood, reduce stress, and let you meet the city in a safe and magical way.

I hope you’ll join me on my journey to City Bathing!
